Elijah spoke the Word of the Lord as given to Him. There was no labor in that. But, Elijah labored mightily in prayer, so the words he had spoken without effort might now express themselves <em>visibly. </em> Not only was this consistent with faith, Elijah's travail demonstrated his trust in that Word.
